Al-Maarif University Sustainability Initiatives
Al-Maarif University College supports gender equality through initiatives and awareness programs that empower women and girls, promote equal opportunities, and strengthen their role within the university and the wider community.
The University has established activities and committees concerned with women’s empowerment, aiming to enhance awareness, prevent discrimination, and encourage an inclusive academic environment based on respect, equity, and social responsibility.
University Contributions to Gender Equality
- Promote equal opportunities and end all forms of discrimination against women and girls.
- Raise awareness against all forms of exploitation and support protective measures in both public and private contexts.
- Organize seminars and awareness campaigns to highlight the vital role of women in society and academic life.
- Support committees and awareness activities that address harmful practices and protect women and girls from abuse and violence.
- Conduct educational lectures, especially for women, to raise awareness about harmful practices such as child, early, and forced marriage.
