Al-Maarif University Sustainability Initiatives

Al-Maarif University College recognizes that its activities may have environmental impacts locally and globally. Therefore, the University is committed to integrating sustainable development principles into its operations and campus management practices.

The University also works to ensure a safe, accessible, and sustainable environment for students, staff, visitors, and the surrounding community.

Safety and Sustainable Transportation

Al-Maarif University operates a dedicated security team to maintain safety across the campus. The University has also collaborated with local authorities to strengthen safety measures and improve secure access routes around the campus.

A travel plan was developed to encourage sustainable transportation methods, reduce single-occupancy journeys, and improve accessibility between university sites.

Travel Plan Objectives

  1. Reduce the environmental impact associated with university transportation.
  2. Reduce parking congestion on campus and surrounding areas.
  3. Improve transportation options for students, staff, and visitors.
  4. Improve travel safety and accessibility within and around the university.

Support of Arts and Heritage

Al-Maarif University College provides public access to buildings, monuments, and natural heritage landscapes that hold cultural significance and contribute to community engagement and preservation of heritage.
