The Department of Life Sciences and the Department of Forensic Science at the College of Science organized a scientific visit to the Blood Bank and the Central Laboratory at the Al-Anbar Health Directorate, as part of efforts to enhance practical aspects and link theoretical knowledge with practical application for college students. The visit aimed to familiarize students with the workflow mechanisms within the blood bank and the central laboratory, and to introduce them to the procedures followed in blood testing and laboratory analyses, as well as the latest devices and technologies used in diagnostic and analytical fields. The staff of the blood bank and laboratory provided comprehensive explanations about the nature of their work and the health services offered, and responded to students’ inquiries, contributing to the enhancement of their scientific and professional awareness. This visit is part of a series of scientific activities that the College of Science is keen to organize, in support of its academic mission and to strengthen cooperation with health institutions in the province.
