As part of the scientific and awareness activities organized by the College of Pharmacy at Al-Maaref University, a scientific activity was carried out in the form of preparing and presenting a poster titled:
“Ensuring Safe Herbal Use in Iraq: The Pharmacist’s Evidence-Based Responsibility”, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Doaa Hisham.
This activity aims to highlight the medical uses of certain Iraqi medicinal plants, raise awareness about the importance of using them correctly and safely, and clarify the potential risks associated with misuse of medicinal herbs or consuming them without consulting specialists.
The poster included evidence-based scientific information on the role of pharmacists in providing proper pharmaceutical guidance to the community regarding the use of herbs and medicinal plants, contributing to safer usage and reducing complications from improper use.
