The College of Nursing at Al-Maarif University College, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a scientific seminar entitled:
“Non-Communicable Diseases – NCDs”, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance health awareness and keep pace with the latest scientific developments in the medical and nursing fields.
The seminar aimed to highlight the most recent scientific advancements in the prevention, early diagnosis, and management of non-communicable diseases, as well as to clarify their role in promoting public health and reducing risk factors within the community.
The seminar included several main topics, most notably:
- An introduction to non-communicable diseases and their common types.
- Behavioral and environmental risk factors associated with them.
- Prevention and control strategies.
- The role of nursing staff in awareness and health education.
At the conclusion of the seminar, the College Deanship affirmed its commitment to continuing the organization of scientific events and academic activities that contribute to strengthening the educational process and enhancing students’ scientific and practical competencies, in alignment with the university’s vision of preparing qualified nursing professionals capable of serving the community and advancing the healthcare sector.
