The College of Law at Al-Maarif University, in cooperation with the National Security Service – Anbar Security Directorate, organized an important scientific seminar entitled “Cyber Extortion Crimes, the Exploitation of Images and Personal Information, and Legal and Technical Means of Confrontation.”
The seminar was delivered by Major Hussam Hamid, who presented a comprehensive overview addressing the risks of cyber extortion and its impacts on individuals and society. He also discussed ways to protect users from such crimes, in addition to the available legal frameworks for combating them.
The seminar witnessed distinguished attendance from students and academics, who were given the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussions on the presented topics, contributing to raising community awareness about the importance of protecting personal information in the digital age.
This event comes within the framework of the College of Law at Al-Maarif University’s efforts to provide an educational and awareness platform that enhances legal and technical knowledge in the field of cybersecurity.
