College of Pharmacy Organizes an Awareness Activity Entitled “Influenza: Symptoms and Prevention Methods”

The College of Pharmacy at the University of Al Maarif organized an awareness activity entitled “Influenza: Symptoms and Prevention Methods,” as part of its educational initiatives aimed at raising health awareness among university students. The activity was supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Samira Finjan Hassan, Asst. Prof. Dr. Doaa Hisham, and Asst. Lect. Sara Hamid, and was prepared and implemented by the students: Yousef Abdulsalam Abbas, Mohammed Hussein Abd Faihan, Mustafa Hussein Rajab, Alaa Muzhir Ayyash, Safa Ahmed Ouda, and Maryam Asaad Khudair. The activity included educational information about influenza, highlighting its main symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, muscle aches, and general fatigue. It also explained modes of transmission and prevention methods, including adherence to health guidelines, receiving seasonal vaccinations, and promoting personal hygiene practices. This activity comes as part of the College of Pharmacy’s efforts to promote preventive health culture and strengthen the role of students in spreading health awareness within the university community.
