Digital Citizenship Awareness Brochure – Building a Safer, Responsible Online Community

As part of the Deanship of the College of Engineering Technologies’ efforts to enhance digital awareness and promote responsible use of technology, the Department of Computer Engineering Technologies produced an awareness brochure on the concept of the digital citizen and their role in protecting society and creating a secure digital environment.

The brochure highlighted the importance of responsible behavior in cyberspace, strengthening cybersecurity as the first line of defense to protect digital identity and reduce electronic threats. It also raised awareness of users’ rights and responsibilities in the digital environment and the role of universities in empowering students with safe-technology skills.

The college affirmed that digital citizenship is not merely using technology; it is awareness, responsibility, and protection of oneself and society—calling on all students and staff to adopt mindful digital conduct that aligns with university values and sustains digital security.
