Computer Science Department Hosts Financial-Fraud Awareness Seminar with QiCard

The Department of Computer Science at the College of Science held an awareness seminar on financial fraud in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center and QiCard.
Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Khalaf, the department organized a scientific seminar titled “Financial Fraud and Methods of Prevention.”
The seminar aimed to raise awareness among students and participants about the risks of electronic financial fraud and its modern methods, and to present preventive approaches that help protect individuals and institutions—especially amid the rapid shift toward digital transactions.
QiCard representatives delivered talks covering major types of financial fraud faced by users, early-detection mechanisms, and the role of fintech in strengthening financial security.
The event saw active engagement from attendees through questions and interventions that enriched the discussion, underscoring the importance of such initiatives in spreading financial and technological awareness within the university community.
