A Scientific Seminar
As part of the College of Pharmacy’s efforts to support and promote scientific research among its academic staff and students, the College of Pharmacy at University of Al Maarif, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, held a scientific seminar entitled “Fundamentals of Scientific Research.”
The seminar was delivered by Dr. Abdulsalam Qahtan Ahmed, Assistant Dean of the College of Pharmacy, for faculty members and students—particularly fifth year students to clarify the requirements of graduation research projects.
The seminar covered several key aspects, mainly identifying the research problem, setting clear objectives, choosing an appropriate methodology, collecting and analyzing data, and documenting sources. The aim was to guide researchers toward reaching practical and realistic solutions to the problem addressed in their research. Every researcher must study these fundamentals carefully to ensure that the final research project is completed effectively and achieves its intended purpose.
At the end of the seminar, many faculty members and students participated by asking questions and raising inquiries, which helped refine the scientific idea, clarify how to select a graduation project or research topic, and define its purpose in a way that supports the advancement of scientific research and promotes publication in international journals indexed in Scopus and Clarivate.
