College of Pharmacy Conducts an Awareness Campaign on Medication Use During Ramadan

As part of the activities of the College of Pharmacy at Al-Maarif University aimed at enhancing health awareness among students and the community, an awareness campaign entitled:
“Medications During the Month of Ramadan – Drug Interactions and Safe Use Methods” was conducted.

The activity was supervised by:

With the participation of the students:

The campaign highlighted the most important drug interactions that may occur during fasting and explained the impact of changing meal and fluid intake times on the effectiveness of medications. It also clarified the correct guidelines for using medications during the month of Ramadan, particularly for patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.

The activity further emphasized the importance of adhering to the instructions of physicians or pharmacists when adjusting medication dosing schedules, and avoiding the random use of medications, due to its significant role in preventing side effects and health complications.

This activity reflects the vital role of pharmacists in health education and in promoting medication awareness, contributing to the protection of individual and community health during the holy month of Ramadan.
