As part of the scientific and awareness activities carried out by the College of Science at Al-Maarif University, the Department of Forensic Evidence organized a scientific activity that involved distributing informative and educational brochures highlighting the role of forensic laboratories in analyzing evidence and linking it to crime scenes.
The brochures included a brief explanation of the main areas of work in forensic laboratories, such as the collection and analysis of forensic samples, DNA profiling, chemical and toxicological analysis, fingerprint examination, and physical evidence analysis. They also addressed the role of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in supporting forensic investigations, emphasizing adherence to precise scientific procedures and the integrity of the chain of custody.
This activity was conducted under the supervision of the College of Science Deanship and a group of department lecturers, as part of the college’s efforts to enhance scientific awareness among students and the university community, and to highlight the importance of forensic disciplines in supporting justice through modern scientific methods for uncovering facts and establishing evidence.
