As part of Al-Maarif University’s efforts to enhance practical learning and link academic knowledge with real-world applications, the College of Engineering Technologies organized a scientific trip for students of the Medical Devices Engineering Techniques Department to Ramadi Teaching Hospital for Women and Children.
The visit was attended by the department coordinator, Asst. Lec. Alaa Hamid Mohammed, along with a group of students. The delegation was received by Engineer Alaa Amer, Head of the Medical Devices Unit at the hospital, who provided a detailed explanation of the unit’s workflow and the responsibilities of biomedical engineers within healthcare institutions.
The trip aimed to familiarize students with medical devices used in women’s and children’s departments, their operation and maintenance methods, and to strengthen their understanding of the biomedical engineer’s role in ensuring device safety and continuity of operation in clinical environments.
This scientific trip is part of a series of academic activities carried out by the College of Engineering Technologies at Al-Maarif University, reflecting its commitment to preparing qualified engineering professionals equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in line with labor market and healthcare sector requirements.
