The College of Pharmacy at Al-Maarif University organized an awareness activity titled “The Correct Use of Painkillers” on Monday, December 8, 2025, under the supervision of Dr. Duaa Hisham. A group of dedicated students, including Ghaith Ala’a al-Din Mohammad, Bakr Hamid Abbas, Ahmed Raad Hashem, Yousif Najah Hassan, Khattab Yahya Badri, and Mustafa Fares, actively participated in the event. The program involved the distribution of educational brochures and providing simplified explanations about common types of analgesics and their safe usage methods. Additionally, the activity focused on warning the public about the potential health risks associated with excessive intake or the use of such medications without professional medical consultation. This initiative is part of the college’s continuous efforts to promote pharmaceutical awareness and establish a culture of rational drug use among the student community.
