Under the patronage and presence of the President of the University of Al Maarif, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mahmood Abdulrazaq Alsaadi, the College of Dentistry organized an awareness seminar entitled “The Impact of Drugs on the Individual and Iraqi Society” on Monday, 3 November 2025. The seminar addressed the dangers of drug abuse, its health and social risks, causes of addiction, prevention methods, and related laws and penalties. AUC Held an Awareness Seminar about the Danger of Unauthorized Weapon |
On 18th October 2025, Al-Maarif University’s Continuing Learning Unit held a seminar on heavy weapons outside the country, presented by Asst. Dr. Ali Mikhlif Hammad and Officer Haitham Abdel Aziz. The seminar discussed the legal framework, causes, and consequences of weapon proliferation, highlighting security weaknesses, ease of access, and tribal influences. The spread of unlicensed weapons threatens public safety and societal stability. Recommendations included community awareness programs, strict law enforcement, institutional strengthening, and proper licensing procedures. The seminar emphasized registering licensed weapons to ensure societal safety and prevent unauthorized possession, aligning with SDG16 – Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. |

On 7th November 2023, the Department of Law at Al-Maarif University College held an awareness seminar titled “Efforts Must Be Intensified to Address Skewed Ideas of Society”. The session was opened by Asst. Prof. Dr. Khalid Awad Al-Alwani, welcoming Prof. Dr. Abd Al-Rahman Hamdi Shafi from the University of Anbar.
