The Continuing Education Center at Al-Maarif University Concludes AI Training Course
The Continuing Education Center at Al-Maarif University concluded a training course titled “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Improving Administrative Transactions” for employees of the Ministry of Oil and the Ministry of Trade. The course focused on applying AI technologies to automate administrative processes and improve institutional performance. A final exam was held to evaluate participants’ understanding and the skills they acquired.
Al-Maarif University Organizes a Specialized Course within a Ministry-Launched Championship
The Continuing Education Center at Al-Maarif University, in cooperation with the College of Engineering Technologies, organized a specialized training course titled “NURAI Robotics & Programming Course” within a championship launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The course covered key topics including programming fundamentals, robot design, and problem-solving skills using modern technologies. It aimed to enhance students’ practical abilities and link theoretical knowledge with real-world applications. This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to supporting ministerial programs, developing technical skills, and fostering innovation and creativity among students in line with advancements in technology and intelligent systems.
The 13th Medical Scientific Conference of the Anbar Health Directorate
Under the patronage of the Presidency of the University of Al Maarif and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, a delegation from the College of Pharmacy participated in the 13th Medical Scientific Conference of the Anbar Health Directorate, held on December 6–7, 2025. The delegation, led by Assistant Dean Dr. Abdul-Salam Qahtan, included faculty members and students who presented scientific posters in oncology and pharmaceutical nanotechnology. This participation reflects the college’s commitment to promoting scientific research, supporting young researchers, and engaging with the latest developments in pharmacy and medical sciences.
Al Maarif University Explores Ways to Activate Agreements and Enhance Joint Cooperation with the Scientific Research Authority
As part of its efforts to strengthen academic and research partnerships, a delegation from the University of Al Maarif visited the Scientific Research Authority to review its affiliated service centers and discuss activating the cooperation agreement between the two institutions. The delegation included senior academic leaders from the Colleges of Science and Dentistry, as well as the Computer Science and International Relations departments. The visit aimed to establish practical frameworks for cooperation, including field visits, joint scientific activities, and collaborative research projects. Discussions also addressed future prospects for integrating research capabilities with academic expertise, supporting innovation, and linking scientific research to societal needs, in line with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s vision.
A Scientific Seminar on Exploring Magnetic Frontiers
On Wednesday, 22nd November 2023, the Department of Medical Instruments Technology Engineering hosted a scientific seminar titled “Exploring Magnetic Frontiers: MRI Innovations in the Laboratories of Medical Instrument”, presented by Dr. Najim Abdullah, Asst. Lec. Mays Talib, and Asst. Lec. Ahmed Salih. The seminar highlighted the development and evolution of resonance devices used in MRI technology. Attendees learned methods for examining magnetic boundaries and distinguishing between closed and open resonance devices. The session emphasized technological innovation, advanced research practices, and the practical applications of MRI instrumentation, fostering knowledge exchange and supporting the department’s commitment to scientific advancement.
Al-Maarif University Signs Joint Cooperation Agreement with Middle Technical University
On the sidelines of the “British Academic Bridge” meeting, Al-Maarif University and Middle Technical University signed a cooperation agreement to enhance academic collaboration, exchange research expertise, and create opportunities for faculty and students. This supports improving higher education quality, aligning programs with labor market needs, and advancing scientific research in Iraq.
The Meeting of Industrial Advisory Board at AUC
On Saturday, January 20, 2024, Al-Maarif University College held a meeting of the Industrial Advisory Board with the participation of academic staff and representatives from the public and private sectors. The meeting was opened by the Deputy Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Mahmood Abd Al-Razzaq Abd Al-Rahman, who highlighted the importance of establishing such boards in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Discussions focused on enhancing graduates’ skills, expanding employment opportunities, increasing practical training, and establishing a technological incubator in cooperation with the General Company for Glass and Ceramics.
 
AUC Visited the the Iraqi University
On Monday, 15th January 2024, the Dean of Al-Maarif University College, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abd Al-Malik Abd Al-Rahman, visited the University of Iraqi accompanied by the Deputy Deans and heads of key units. The meeting discussed joint scientific and academic cooperation, including publishing research in international databases, holding seminars and workshops, and promoting faculty members. The Dean highlighted the University of Iraqi’s strong academic reputation and achievements. This visit aimed to strengthen scientific exchange and academic collaboration between the two institutions, enhancing research opportunities, professional development, and the overall quality of higher education.
