University of Al-Maarif Medical Support and Healthcare Network

The University of Al-Maarif (UOA) operates a comprehensive Medical Support and Healthcare Network that links students, faculty members, and administrative staff with accredited hospitals, medical laboratories, and healthcare centers across the Al-Anbar region and other governorates. This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to promoting public health, early prevention, and equitable access to essential healthcare services for its campus community.

Through this network, the university provides a variety of free and subsidized medical services, including preventive check-ups, diagnostic testing, physiotherapy support, mental health counseling, and referral services for specialized treatment when needed. These services are offered in collaboration with licensed public and private healthcare institutions, ensuring that beneficiaries receive high-standard and reliable medical care.

This model of medical partnership is designed to:

  • Reduce barriers to healthcare access for students and staff
  • Support a healthy and safe learning environment
  • Strengthen community well-being by extending awareness and prevention programs
  • Contribute to improving health literacy and responsible health practices among young people

The Medical Support Network is fully funded and coordinated by the University of Al-Maarif, ensuring inclusive coverage and continuity of support throughout the academic year.

This initiative directly advances:

  • SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being, by improving access to health services and preventive care
  • SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals, through sustained collaboration with healthcare institutions

By prioritizing health accessibility and well-being, the University of Al-Maarif demonstrates an ongoing commitment to fostering a healthy, supportive, and sustainable campus environment.
