University of Al-Maarif Welcomes Representative of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities – Physical Therapy Sector
The University of Al-Maarif welcomed a representative from the Physical Therapy Sector Committee at the Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities to strengthen academic cooperation with Egyptian higher education institutions. The visit included meetings with university leadership and the College of Allied Medical Sciences, focusing on academic coordination, supporting Egyptian Physical Therapy students, and exploring collaboration in curriculum development, training, and professional qualification. The guest toured modern laboratories and clinical facilities and engaged in an open dialogue with students, clarifying degree equivalency, licensing requirements, and career pathways. This visit demonstrates UOA’s commitment to supporting international students, enhancing partnerships, and advancing the quality of its Physical Therapy program.
 
Participation of the Director of the Continuing Education Center in an International Training of Trainers Course on Soft Skills Development
The Director of the Continuing Education Center, Dr. Mohammed Ismat Sino, participated in the International Training of Trainers (ToT) course on Soft Skills Development, organized by the Northern Technical University in Mosul in cooperation with Al-Khaleej College and the International Institute for Training and Institutional Development. The course aimed to strengthen leadership and educational competencies and enhance academic performance in higher education institutions. It included both theoretical and practical training sessions focusing on communication, conflict resolution, critical thinking, and the effective application of soft skills in technical and vocational education. This participation represents a valuable contribution to developing staff expertise and improving educational quality and outcomes.
College of Science Organizes a Scientific Seminar on “Digital Transformation”
Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Khalaf, and with the follow-up of the Head of the Computer Science Department, Dr. Mohammed Ismat Sino, the Computer Science Department organized a specialized scientific seminar entitled “Digital Transformation.” The seminar, presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ismat Sino and Asst. Lect. Noha Qais, focused on the importance of adopting digital environments in educational institutions to keep pace with modern technological advancements. It highlighted how digital transformation enhances administrative efficiency and academic performance. University of Al Maarif Organizes a Training Course on Etiquette and Official Protocol in Cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
As part of its continuous efforts to enhance administrative and academic performance, the University of Al Maarif, through the Continuing Education Center, organized a specialized training course titled “The Art of Etiquette and Official Protocol,” in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The course was attended by the Assistant President of the University, college deans, department heads, unit directors, and faculty members, reflecting strong institutional support for professional development initiatives. The lectures were delivered by Ambassador Dr. Hassanein Rashid Al-Sheikh, who presented key principles of etiquette and official protocol and practical methods for their application. This program forms part of a broader training series aimed at developing staff competencies in line with national professional standards.
University of Al Maarif Holds a Training Workshop
As part of Al Maarif University’s efforts to enhance scientific research and develop researchers’ skills, the Department of Quality Assurance and Academic Performance, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center and the College of Sciences, organized an advanced workshop titled “Methods for Writing Scientific Research According to SDG Standards and Enhancing Reference Citations in Global Databases.” Held on December 7, 2025, the workshop involved faculty members, researchers, and postgraduate students. Delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Khalaf and Asst. Lect. Alaa Hamed Mohammed, it focused on aligning research with SDGs, improving research quality, increasing global visibility, and fostering an advanced academic environment with both local and international impact.
A Learning Seminar about Writing Legal Research
On 8th November 2023, the Department of Law at Al-Maarif University College organized a workshop titled “The Mechanism for Writing Legal Research”, attended by the department head, lecturers, and students. The workshop focused on guiding students through proper legal research methodology, including selecting a research topic, identifying problems, and formulating hypotheses. Participants learned how to analyze legal texts, jurisprudence, and judicial rulings to develop solutions. The session emphasized practical skills for conducting high-quality legal research, fostering critical thinking, and preparing students for academic and professional work in the legal field. It was part of the department’s ongoing educational initiatives.
The Unit of Student Activities Attended the Scouting Skills Development

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Al Maarif, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Abdulrazzaq, the Continuing Education Center, in cooperation with the College of Science, organized a training course entitled “Positive Thinking Skills and Their Impact on Self-Development.” Supervised by Dr. Mohammed Ismat Sino and presented by Prof. Dr. Akram Ubaid Al-Alwani, the course aimed to promote positive thinking and personal growth. On Monday, 2nd October 2023, the Department of Computer Science at Al-Maarif University College organized a scientific workshop on cloud computing, presented by Engineer Ammar Hannoon, an international trainer at Amazon and Microsoft, in cooperation with the Continuing Learning Unit. The workshop highlighted the importance of cloud computing and its role in modern software development. Participants were introduced to the steps for creating an official Amazon Web Services account and exploring cloud platforms. The College of Science organized an online training course in collaboration with Amazon Web Services Academy, the College of Engineering Technologies, and the College of Engineering under the University Presidency’s initiative “From Education to Application.” The course strengthened students’ practical and technical skills by linking theoretical knowledge with real-world applications aligned with labor market needs. The Department of Forensic Evidence at the College of Science and the Forensic Evidence Investigation Department of Anbar Police Directorate have established a joint collaboration under the supervision of Dean Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Khalaf.
