It is one of the first departments opened at Al. Maaref University College. It has been working since the opening of the College officially in 1993 and has been offered to students from inside and outside Iraq, which has contributed to the widespread dissemination of the Arabic language and has its own role in making the college more popular through the graduated students.
Objectives of Arabic Language Department
1- Spread the Arabic and Islamic culture
2. Saving the language of the Holy Quran and managing the meanings of the holy book, knowing the meanings of the Prophet’s Hadith and understanding the words of the Arabs as prose and poetry.
3 – to reduce the phenomenon of melody, and to reduce the dialects of informal language, depending on the Arabic formal language as a tool for expression and communication between Arabs , Islamic peoples and other peoples.
4- Access to Arabic and Islamic heritage and to benefit from the international literature.
Vision
The Department aims to open postgraduate studies, after the availability of highly qualified staff and scientific titles for this purpose. However, it seeks to communicate with the government departments and private institutions to develop their administrative staff in the field of communications.
Mission Since language is the identity of nations so that, the department works hard to raise the quality of community and graduates to read the Holy Qur’an in a sound language
