Parental Policies (5.6.3)

University of Al-Maarif (UoA) is dedicated to supporting the work-life balance and family responsibilities of its students, faculty, and staff through comprehensive Parental Policies. These policies are designed to ensure that parents have the necessary flexibility, resources, and support to succeed academically and professionally while fulfilling their family responsibilities.

Key features of the parental policies include:

  • Maternity and paternity leave provisions for students and staff
  • Flexible scheduling and remote learning/work options to accommodate parental duties
  • Childcare support and family-friendly facilities on campus
  • Awareness programs and counseling services to guide parents in balancing educational, professional, and personal responsibilities

Through these policies, UoA demonstrates its commitment to inclusive and supportive practices, fostering a campus environment where parental responsibilities are recognized and accommodated. This aligns with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by promoting equity, wellness, and productivity for all members of the university community.
