SDG 4: Quality Education

Student success is at the heart of Al-Maarif University College’s (UOA) mission, supporting every student from every background to achieve outstanding outcomes. UOA wants everyone to believe that it should be able to unlock the potential of transformational education.
By achieving inclusive and quality education for students will reinforce the belief that education is one of the most effective and proven vectors of sustainable development. Al-Maarif University College ensures that all girls and boys will have fair education. It also aims to provide equal access to affordable vocational training, eliminate gender and wealth gaps and ensure universal access to quality higher education.

Library, Open Resources, and Learning Lab

The library of Al-Maarif University College has been an active participant in influencing the strategic direction of open education to students and local society. The academic staff who have selected open resources for their courses have saved students a cumulative total of approximately $200,000. The digital Learning Lab is the primary free learning resource for facilitating student success. This is to ensure that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development, including, among others, through education for sustainable development and sustainable lifestyles, human rights, gender equality, promotion of a culture of peace and non-violence, global citizenship and appreciation of cultural diversity and of culture’s contribution to sustainable development.

Open Scholarships

Al-Maarif University College is committed to driving an enterprise-wide roadmap for progression toward open scholarships and has adopted a position statement to enrich communities by elevating educational, scientific, and artistic knowledge underpinned by the SDGs.

All courses and materials are available on this web to facilitate easy access to their courses without any need for extra costs.
