On Tuesday, 17th October 2025, the Department of Civil Engineering at Al-Maarif University held a scientific seminar entitled “Artificial Intelligence in Civil Engineering. Asst. Lec. Rawaa Ahmadi defined AI technology through which the human mind is simulated and demonstrated the most important advantages of AI in general and its interference in civil engineering in particular, which is to make devices smarter understand what intelligence is and enable machines to process information more closely to the human mind, as well as the most important advantages in it: – Preventing cost overruns. – Project planning efficiency. – Increased productivity in workplaces. Then, followed the seminar Asst. Lec Noor Jabbar spoke about the most important computer engineering software in which artificial intelligence is used in civil engineering, which are: Revit, Civil 3D, Ansys, and STAAD Pro. The seminar included an illustrative example of using the Chat Gpt program to build a room after presenting the data and calculating the number of floors used to build this room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
