in Medicine and Environment at AUC<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Sunday 22nd October 2023, the Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies at Al-Maarif University College held a scientific seminar entitled (Nanomaterial: Application in Medicine and Environment).<br>The seminar was opened by Dr. Raed Obaid Al Sabhani, who hosted Dr. Abd Al-Salam Al Mahammadi to talk about nanomaterials and its uses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Abd Al-Salam gave a detailed and simplified explanation of the nanomaterial preparation methods and risks in medicine and the environment, explaining the most important medical applications in which it enters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He explained that the Nano possessed several properties, including physical, visual, chemical, electrical and mechanical properties, explaining three basic ways of preparing it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Physics properties that are less polluting to the environment and are not very effective.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chemical properties which is one of the best ways to prepare it but it is contaminated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Biological properties and non-contaminated but impractical.<br>He also explained the processes of its applications in the environment, and clarified its most important uses:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Desalination and wastewater treatment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Its uses in the treatment of bacteria.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Air purification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the areas of its applications is in the field of medicine, where it enters the stage of diagnosis and treatment of the disease, and then presents several ways and experiments to prepare it.<br>Determination of the seminar, he explained that the Nanometric materials have pros and cons, and must be used with caution and with reasonable limits to maintain safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex
