The University of Al Maarif<\/strong> is deeply committed to advancing the United Nations\u2019 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), recognizing that higher education institutions play a pivotal role in shaping a sustainable future through education, research, innovation, and community engagement. In this context, SDG 7 \u2013 Affordable and Clean Energy<\/strong> represents a cornerstone of the university\u2019s sustainability agenda, aligning with national priorities for energy efficiency, renewable energy adoption, and environmental stewardship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Sustainability Report on SDG 7<\/strong> highlights the university\u2019s strategies, initiatives, and measurable outcomes aimed at ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all. The report documents both operational and academic contributions\u2014covering renewable energy projects on campus, awareness and training programs, research in clean energy technologies, and collaborations with local and international partners to promote energy sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a leading private academic institution in Iraq, the University of Al Maarif integrates sustainability principles across its policies and operations. The university is taking progressive steps toward reducing its carbon footprint by promoting energy conservation, transitioning to solar power, implementing efficient lighting and HVAC systems, and fostering a culture of responsible energy consumption among students, faculty, and staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
