To further strengthen safety and security on and around campus, the University partnered with Al-Ramadi Police as part of the Safer Routes Home Project to create a University Police Team<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The travel plan was developed in 2019 and outlined how the University intends to implement and promote specific measures to help staff, students, and visitors commute to the University\u2019s sites via sustainable measures and aims to reduce single occupancy journeys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Travel Plan aims to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reduce the environmental impact of travel associated with the University<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduce parking congestion on campus and in the locality during term-time<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improve the options available for travel to the University, and between sites<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improve the safety and accessibility of travel within and to the University.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Support of arts and heritage<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al-Maarif University College provides public free access to all buildings, monuments, and natural
