Natural resources necessary for human survival, such as freshwater, oceans, forests, and soils, are declining. Climate change further degrades these resources as severe weather events, including droughts, become more frequent and affect harvests, resulting in reduced food availability.<\/p>\n<p>Poverty, inequality, war, and conflict are also major drivers of hunger. These factors affect people\u2019s ability to access food, increase food prices, disrupt production, and may force communities to leave their homes. Therefore, addressing hunger requires coordinated efforts in food security, nutrition, social support, and sustainable community development.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"sdg-section-title sdg2-title\">\n<h2>University Contributions to Zero Hunger<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<ol class=\"sdg-programs sdg2-programs\">\n<li>Eradicate hunger and ensure that everyone has access to sufficient food throughout the year.<\/li>\n<li>End all forms of malnutrition by addressing the nutritional needs of older people, pregnant and lactating women, and teenage females.<\/li>\n<li>Al-Maarif University works with surrounding communities to support productivity and income opportunities related to small-scale food initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"sdg-section-title sdg2-title\">\n<h2>Related
